POTTSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Investigators are revealing more information about a Pottsville double murder. The man they say pulled the trigger, Norman Nickle of 700 North 13th Street, is behind bars.

For more than two weeks, the bodies of teenagers Joshua Yevak and Cayla Turner sat rolled up in a rug in nNckle's basement. Police say they have proof Nickle killed them.

Neighbors like Dennis Umphrey can't believe it. "Not from him, no. It made it even more shocking, you know, when I found that out. He didn't seem like he hated anybody or anything of that nature," he said.

Police say Nickle shot and killed 19-year-old Joshua Yevak of Pottsville and 17-year-old Cayla turner of Port Carbon.

Neighbor Allen Greiner is also shocked. "We never expected anything like this. He was always a quiet guy. He pruned my trees and all for me in the back of the house here," he said.

But the man who pruned trees and did other odd jobs around this Pottsville neighborhood was taken away in handcuffs Thursday afternoon. Police say he shot Yevak and Turner on March 4th and kept their bodies in his basement for more than two weeks. "It's quiet unnerving, I mean I have a family," says Joe Pangonis

He says Nickle didn't strike him as a murderer. "Seems like a nice guy. Never in a bad mood. I've known him for years," he said.

And Nickle's alleged victims apparently knew him too. Yevak’s "" online profile included pictures with him and Nickle.

Details on the murder are unclear. A police report shows Nickle changed his story several times. He says he passed out from drinking and heard two men burst in and fire shots.

Police say a shotgun was used, a weapon Nickle admitted to owning. Nickle is locked up in the Schuylkill County Prison without bail. He's charged with two counts of criminal homicide. Both victims were shot twice, but autopsies should be finished by Tuesday, to see if anything else happened to the teens before their death.
