PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -

It was one of the most brutal crimes this area has ever seen. The five women agreed to talk to the I-Team because they want the world to know what happened that day and how this attack changed their lives. They also want to warn other people that crime and evil can come at you at anytime.
Thomas Leyshon, armed with a hammer, walked into the Hairem Hair Salon last August. He demanded money and started hitting the women with a hammer. Four of them were hit with that hammer. All of the victims suffered serious injuries.
Seventy-seven year old Margaret Benzi spoke about that day saying, "Well, I was in the back getting my hair washed. My head was in the back of the sink. All I remember was I heard a scream and heard a big heafty voice come back. There in an instant before I had a thought what was happening he was hitting me in the head.
