Monday March 29 2010
MESHOPPEN, WYOMING COUNTY -- A Wyoming County woman accused of killing her husband during a hunting trip to Canada, could soon stand trial in Newfoundland.

A federal court of appeals denied Mary Beth Harshbarger's appeal to have the charges dropped.

She was charged with shooting and killing her husband mark during a hunting trip in September 2006. Harshbarger says she thought she was shooting at a bear.

Canadian authorities say she was negligent, charges similar to involuntary manslaughter in the U. S.

If convicted in Canada, she could face life in prison.
