Harshbarger Still Fighting Extradition

Harshbarger Still Fighting Extradition - Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 5:12PM EST

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A Wyoming County woman will wait for a judge to decide if she must leave the country to face charges for her husband's shooting death.
Mary Beth Harshbaerger of Meshoppen appeared Wednesday in federal court in Scranton. She's charged with negligence in the 2006 hunting death of her husband, Mark.

Judge Thomas Vaneski heard an hour of testimony. He says he'll rule on her extradition in a day or so.

Harshbarger's defense lawyer argued there's not enough evidence to prove gross negligence. Harshbarger insists she though she was shooting at a bear when she killed her husband.
