HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- Police say a Hazleton mother went on an all-night drinking binge, and that led to the death of her 21-day-old baby.
22-year-old Heather Breeland was charged Wednesday with involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment in the suffocation death of her infant son Joseph.
It happened in her North Church Street home in September of 2006. Prosecutors say the baby died because his mother put alcohol first. Witnesses say that Breeland was so drunk she could not take care of her baby. | | |
