WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Attorneys for two women charged with a deadly hit and run want felony charges dismissed.
A defense motion hearing was held Tuesday for 24-year-old Megan Panawicz of Forty Fort and 63-year-old Linda Giordano of Kingston.

The defense claims prosecutors shouldn't have filed a third degree felony charge with Luzerne County Court. The women were only bound over for a first degree misdemeanor.

Panawicz and Giordano are accused of running down 32-year-old Sharon Shaughnessy and leaving the scene. It happened on Wyoming Avenue in Kingston last August.

There's no word when a Luzerne County judge will make his ruling.
