RYAN TWP., SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Federal aviation officials are investigating a helicopter crash in Schuylkill County.

The chopper crashed at the Mountain Valley Golf Course in Ryan Township - before 7:00 Friday evening.

It was preparing to drop golf balls for a charity event when something went wrong. The pilot and his passenger are both injured.

While the FAA investigated Saturday, the 8th hole remained closed. Manager Ken Huebner said, "The one hole is closed - the course is open and we have 27 holes so it's not been a problem for us."

The hole won’t reopen until the investigation and cleanup are complete. There's still no word on what caused the helicopter to crash.
