SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Sunday was a busy day of campaigning in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Senator Hillary Clinton went straight to the streets, going door-to-door looking for votes in Lackawanna County.
Chanting, cheers, posters and buttons filled the streets of West Scranton.
"We're so happy and she's so welcome," Mary Anne Sinclair said.
"It's wonderful. I didn't know she'd ever get to our street," JoAnn VanValen said.
When the democratic hopeful stepped out of her motorcade, she went straight for the homeowners.
"She's doing a good job now and I know she'll continue to do a good job and she does have my vote," Cynthia Catalano said.
The most common questions that Hillary Clinton said she was asked about were jobs and healthcare.
"I relate to the poeple who are knocked down. The real test is whether you get back up and the people of Scranton are getting back up," Hillary Clinton said.
Her message also centered on her opponent, Barack Obama's "bitter" comments. | |
