AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY - Hillary Clinton made her first stop in northeast Pennsylvania Monday afternoon as she tries to get the democratic nomination for president.
The New York senator's plane landed at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport just after 3:30 PM. More than two dozen supporters and curious onlookers came out to greet Senator Clinton. Clinton was very polite to the crowd, taking time to shake hands and exchange a few quick words.
After departing from the airport, Hillary Clinton took time to travel to nearby Old Forge. Hundreds of people with signs lined the streets outside Revello's Cafe on South Main Street. It took more than 20 minutes for the senator to pose for pictures and sign autographs as dozens of TV cameras and photographers crowded around.
Clinton spent until just after 5:00 PM at Revello's Cafe and then began making her way to Scranton High School where she addressed a crowd of several thousand people.
