Hit Run Accident Sends Man to Hospital - Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 08:34AM EST

LUZERNE COUNTY - Police are looking for the hit and run driver that put a person in the hospital.

A pedestrian was hit around 12am Thursday along the five-hundred block of Pittston Ave.

Police tell us the car took off northbound after hitting the man.

They believe the car was a white Chrysler.

Police say the pedestrian was running from officers when he was hit.

The victim was taken to the hospital; there is no word on his condition this morning.
