WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY AND VATICAN CITY, ROME-
Holy Thursday services held around the world and here at home as the faithful begin the solemn observance of Easter.
We stopped by the Blessed Sacrament Church in Wilkes-Barre
The Catholic Community of Miners Mills observed the "Mass of the Lord's Supper" tonight. The ceremony marks Jesus' last supper with his disciples before his Good Friday crucifixion.
Pope Benedict the 16th presided over the Holy Thursday service in Vatican City. During the service, the pope washed the feet of 12 priests as Jesus did in the bible.
Holy week ends Easter Sunday, the day Christians celebrate Jesus' resurrection. | | |
