At this hour, charges have not been filed in the home invasion. Police do say the investigation is going in the right direction toward an arrest. As the I-team first told you last night, we confirmed that at least one man was taken into custody last evening and was being questioned overnight.

Investigators will not comment on our information, but sources close to the case tell Eyewitness News that the man is considered a suspect. He may have been one of the attackers or who knew who was involved. Hazleton police have been working around the clock looking for the two or three masked men who stormed into the home of Nick and Martha Caputo on Saturday night. The Caputo’s were badly beaten. One of the men had a gun. Eyewitness News was told that one man was picked up out of the area last evening and brought back to police headquarters. Again, Hazleton detectives are being very tight-lipped about this investigation.
