WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Many pool companies struggled through last summer. But with the return of warm weather, some are bouncing back.
Customers headed to Olympic Pools in Wilkes-Barre Thursday. Mark Bryski is stocking up on supplies. Bryski says, "Absolutely, especially on a day like today. Matter of fact I took a vacation day today."

Olympic Pools Manager Dave Vitelli says business picks up the week before Memorial Day. "It's hectic, to try to gear up and imagine what you're up against," says Vitelli.

Olympic Pools management says last summer was a tough one because of the economy. But this year, more people are coming into this store with plans to stay by their pools rather than go on vacation. "People were deciding not to take vacations and investing money into their own homes and making their own little paradise in their backyard," says Vitelli.

Jack Robinson of Laflin is one of those customers. He's getting his pool ready for whoever uses it. "I have a black lab who will probably use it more than we will," says Robinson.
