BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY- Following a string of violent parties, including a riot in years past, law enforcement in Bloomsburg is set to maintain order in the university town.
This weekend marks the school's annual homecoming weekend. Thousands will be in town for the next few days.
Police tell WBRE News, extra manpower will be brought in from surrounding communities to keep things in order.
Town leaders had proposed a stiff ordinance that would take stock of party goers at off-campus residences and apartments. That law sits in limbo. Bloomsburg's police chief says leaders are simply giving it more consideration.
Some university students said the added police presence would have no effect on their festivities.
Bloomsburg will host Millersville at 1:30pm.
