Homes Destroyed in Separate Fires Tuesday - Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:16AM EST

WRIGHT TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY- A Wright Township home is destroyed by fire overnight.
Flames broke out around 11:30 Tuesday night near Morio and Alberdeen Roads. When crews arrived the house was engulfed in flames. It took them a little over and hour to put the fire out.

The home was vacant and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.

COOLBAUGH TWP., MONROE COUNTY- Earlier Tuesday afternoon a firefighter was injured battling a house fire in the Poconos.

Crews were called to a home on Nature's Drive in A Pocono Country Place in Coolbaugh Township.

The injured firefighter has second degree burns on his hand. No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause is under investigation.
