Selinsgrove, Snyder County-

A suspicious shooting death in West Perry Township is now being called homicide. State Police at Selinsgrove, along with Snyder County District Attorney Michael Scholley, made the announcement at a press conference around two this afternoon.

Police say the victim, 46-year-old Jeffrey Stock, of Richfield, PA, was shot just outside his home late Saturday night. We’re told he later died at Lewistown Hospital.

District Attorney Michael Scholley said, "There was a single gunshot wound to the abdomen which was the cause of death. There's no determination at this point as to what type of caliber, or what type of firearm, or who the shooter was. It's being treated as a homicide at this point."

State Police Trooper Matthew Burrows added, "We are treating this as a very serious incident. There was a death of a white male and we have several troopers in the area, here at the barracks, and throughout the Snyder County region, trying to obtain as much information as we can possibly take."

We’re told Jeffrey Stock was not the only person residing where the shooting took place, and that the other individuals there have already been interviewed. Police are looking into all possible leads into this shooting, which again is now being investigated as a homicide. Anyone with information is urged to contact State Police at Selinsgrove. That number is 570-374-8145.
