Police in Charlotte, North Carolina quickly realized they had a man Scranton authorities have been looking for when they arrested a man for possessing pot.
Michael Blakey is suspected of murdering a 7-month-old in Lackawanna County. North Carolina police have in their custody a man Scranton police say ended the life of a seven-month old infant in late spring, 2007.
Fresh details are expected tomorrow at a news conference on the plans to bring 30-year-old Michael Blakee back to Pennsylvania. Here, Scranton police say he'll answer to homicide charges in the beating death of his girlfriend's son, Khayr cash.
The baby was found unresponsive June 4th at the valley view terrace housing complex. Khayr died two days later. For neighbors and family, relief is shared. Khayr’s aunt says, “It was like bricks lifted of your chest just in time for the New Year to begin.
You know, 2007 is going to be remembered in a tragic way for us." Charlotte police say Blakee resisted arrest and provided a false name.
