SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

A city demolition crew as leveled a Scranton house which was the scene of a triple homicide last June. The property, on South Irving Avenue, was also burned by an arsonist last November.

Mayor Chris Doherty said he ordered the city's anti-blight team in as soon as he received clearance from the court. That approval was necessary to make sure the property would not be needed in connection with the trial of 25-year-old Randal Rushing. He faces murder charges in connection with the beating deaths of Justin Berrios, Dustin Hintz and Leslie Collier in the house on July 17th of last year.

The identity of the person who set fire to the property last fall is still unknown.
