EYNON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- State Police investigators say the fire that damaged the Highway Auto Parts Building in Eynon late Wednesday night is a case of arson.

The Fire Marshal determined that there were several points of origin. The blaze broke out around 11:00 Wednesday evening in the main garage area of the business and caused extensive damage.

Highway Auto Parts is owned by brothers John and Joe Rudalavage. They opened the business in 1956. John Rudalavage said he suspected the fire was deliberately set. He said other fires have been set in junked vehicles on the property in the past.

State Police are asking anyone with any information about the fire at Highway Auto Parts to call the Dunmore Barracks at 963-3042.
