SUGARLOAF TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- Hundreds of people came out to a Luzerne County restaurant Friday night to support the family of a fallen state trooper.
A benefit for the family of Trooper Joshua Miller was held at Damon's restaurant outside of Hazleton. He was killed in the line of duty earlier this month.
One of the items up for sale was a t-shirt with a quote from miller on the day he died. Event organizer Trooper Scott Sotack said, ÒJosh wrote back that he would never let anything happen to a brother on his watch - that morning he wrote that on the e-mail, we put that on the shirts."
An autographed Steelers football, and a guitar signed by Kenny Chesney were also auctioned off.
Our own Andy Mehalshick and Candice Kelly pitched in to help at the event. | |
