NANTICOKE, LUZERNE COUNTY- An investigation is underway into misplaced money at Luzerne County Community College.

The I-Team has learned that L.C.C.C officials contacted Nanticoke Police concerning $1,200 that was missing from the cafeteria.

The college did do an internal investigation and the money was recovered but now have requested the police to get involved.

We spoke with LCCC President Tom Leary who says school officials became aware of possible financial impropriates on campus and requested Nanticoke Police to investigate. Leary also told us the school will cooperate fully with police.

Sources close to the case tell the I-Team that the investigation involves cash and property and involves the years 2005 to the present.
