The I-Team on the side of area children, this holiday season who are not getting the support they deserve from,at least one of their parents.
The I-Team on the streets this week with agents from the Lackawanna County Domestic Relations and Scranton Police helping to trackdown deadbeat parents. Those parents who chose not to do the right thing when it comes to their kids. On this night, three fathers were arrested. Agent Tom McGaw tells us, these guys are repeat offender, who simply ignore the judge's order to pay child support or simply stay in hiding.
It is a big problem. Consider this, in Lackawanna County alone $17 million dollars was collected in unpaid child support. Money, that would help make life easier for their very own children.
And the I-Team will be involved in more Deadbeat Parent Operations in the day ahead. | | |
