FREELAND, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Luzerne County family is out of their home tonight, because of a mold problem in their apartment. People who live in the Freeland Village Apartments contacted the I-Team after they say their concerns were not be addressed by the landlord.

Jennifer Brinson and her three kids are staying in a hotel tonight, because their apartment is not safe, according to health officials.

We first showed you the problem Monday. Dozens of residents complained to Freeland Borough and the I-Team about ongoing mold problems.

The worst case was Brinson's apartment. The landlord tried cleaning the mold, but that was not good enough. The Freeland Code Officer condemned the place until the mold is removed.

In the meantime, Jennifer and her children are waiting it out in a hotel. "I'm living in a hotel with my children. All my food is at my apartment, everything I was able to grab smells musty, moldy. He gave me $20 last night for food for myself and my kids, that was it."

Freeland officials say they want to make sure, all 80 apartments are safe.
