WYOMING, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Three families are blasting the man they paid to redo their kitchens. They say he never lived up to the contracts. Consumer and I-Team reporter, Jeff Chirico is here with a story you'll only see on Eyewitness News.

We confronted the man who admits he hasn't fulfilled the contracts. But he says he's the victim of this bad economy --and he just needs more business to pay back those unhappy customers.

It was a major renovation. $18,000 I gave him 30% to start. Never ordered the cabinets. Completely lied to me."
Michelle and Michael Gagatek of Swoyersville paid $5300 for their dream kitchen. 4 months later --they're still waiting. "We were scammed that's the crux of it."

Joe and Evelyn Casey of Trucksville have been waiting a year for nearly $600. "Its taken quite a bit out of us. It's been very stressful."

And Virginia DeNunzio --out a $1500 deposit after the company kept delaying. "I really can't believe someone would do that to someone else."

"Stop rolling cameras please." They all hired this man --John Mosca, owner of Kitchen Express. He says his Wyoming business has been hit hard by the recession. Mosca says "These are people's hard earned money you're taking. I'm very sorry we put people in this situation. I've explained this to them." Mosca says money is tight. He intends to make good on what he owes his customers if he can get more business. He's changing his company's name in hopes of doing that. "When will they get money, cabinets or money? I guess it will depend on what kind of response we get from the public if public doesn't support us, it will be difficult."

Not the answer any of these customers wants to hear. "He was excited. Got us excited. Told us we'd have our dream kitchen. It's going to be great. It's been a nightmare." Mosca says he's hoping for a big commercial deal that will give him some extra cash needed to repay these customers.
