SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - A federal indictment isn't keeping a Lackawanna County commissioner from his job.

Minority commissioner AJ Munchak was at Wednesday morning's commissioners meeting in downtown Scranton.

It is the first public commissioner's meeting since he was indicted on racketeering and bribery charges. Munchak has vowed to stay in office.

Munchak did not directly address his legal issues but did ask county staff to notify him when people, or the media, make a Right To Know information request.

"I'm a sitting commissioner. If someone's taking public records out of here, I should know," Munchak said.

Not one of the speakers at Wednesday's commissioners meeting addressed the legal controversy regarding Munchak.
