HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Hazleton man is behind bars on charges that he beat his girlfriend's son to death.

Alexander Garcia, 20, was arraigned Sunday night.

Police say he spanked and hit two-year-old Emanuel Gonzalez so hard that it caused bruising all over the boy's body.

Gonzalez died early Sunday morning.

There's no word yet on whether or not Garcia will be charged with murder.

Garcia is locked up on two-million dollars bail.
