BLAKESLEE, MONROE COUNTY - Part of Interstate 80 was closed in both directions late Sunday night because of an accident involving two tractor trailers.
The crash happened in a construction zone at Mile Marker 284 near Blakeslee. The accident itself was in the eastbound lanes, but it pushed pieces of the concrete barrier into the westbound side. As of midnight, both directions of the interstate remained closed.
Police spent most of the night on scene directing traffic, but problems are expected to continue into the Monday morning rush-hour.
No one was injured in the accident. There is no word yet on the cause of the wreck. | | |
