EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY- The third suspect in a Pike County murder is now in police custody.

Marquis Keeys was arrested Tuesday night in New York City for allegedly killing 46-year-old Barry Rose at his home near Bushkill last August.

PAHomepage sat down with the victim's fiancée in Monroe County to get her reaction to the arrest. She asked us to only use her first name.

As the fiancée of Barry Rose, Valerie looks over a wall of pictures she can't help but remember her friend of 30 years.

“He was always someone that you could talk to about anything. He was someone you could confide in" she explained about Barry.

Barry Rose was murdered on August 24th at his home in Lehman Township, Pike County. As of Wednesday the third suspect, and alleged trigger-man Marquis Keeys has been taken into custody.

"You always wonder why. You always wonder what’s the motive, what's the reason and you don't know what’s in someone else's head" stated Valerie.

Pennsylvania State Police believe the motive was robbery. Rose's fiancée Valerie is stunned. "It was nothing we could have ever imagined or never had anticipated. We're very quiet people."

Valerie said Barry Rose was the light of her life. A jokester, a photography lover. Someone who could light up a room. Knowing all of his accused killers are now in custody brings relief.

"It’s just a measure of relief in a way, that now at least, we can move on from here" explained Valerie.

Move on and look for justice. "The only thing we the family has always looked for are that those people that did this are held accountable for it" she stated.

Keeys remains in police custody in New York City as of Wednesday night. But he will be brought back to Pennsylvania to face charges. The other two suspects have already faced a judge for their preliminary hearings.
