WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- An investigation is underway into missing money at a Luzerne County ambulance company.

Eyewitness News has learned at least $6,000 went missing for a short time from a West Hazleton ambulance company checking account. That money then reappeared.

Ambulance board members called police to investigate. We're told interviews are being done and the case could wrap-up by the end of the week.

The borough doesn't run West Hazleton Ambulance Company, but the company's under contract as a first responder to emergencies.
