In Lycoming County, a new interactive library exhibit is helping kids brush up on their math skills. The children's wing of the James V. Brown Library in Williamsport is hosting the "Mother Goose Math: Rhyme and Arithmetic" display. "Mother Goose Math" is a hands-on exhibit that brings to life scenes and images from popular nursery rhymes. The interactive display is on loan from the Children's Museum of Cleveland. Assistant Director Jeffrey Swope noted, "It's an opportunity for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to really understand the importance of, not just books and reading, but how literacy and early education are a part of everyday life." The exhibit will be on display at the library through June 22nd. It's free to attend thanks to local donations. For more information, contact the James V. Brown Library. | |
