The trial of Judge Ann Lokuta resumes.
This time, the Court of Common Pleas Jurist will call witnesses on her behalf.
The proceedings are expected to play-out much differently than the first half, with possible explanation behind a litany of harsh accusations that could cost Judge Lokuta her job.
The senior leadership of the Luzerne County Justice System cycled in and out of the courtroom during the first part of the judicial conduct trial, Many offered a picture of a lazy judge who shirked responsibilities.
Sheriffs deputies, attorneys and court reportes testified Judge Lokuta ruled the court With an iron and unmerciful fist and wielded invulnerable power, believing she was shielded from prosecution.
But Judge Lokuta's attorney, Louis Sinatra, told us that harsh testimony wasn't the best evidence.
He says thousands of pages of memorandums will reflect a different story.
The Judge Ann Lokuta Judicial conduct trial is set to begin Monday. WBRE News will be there, with reports from Philadelphia. | |
