SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- They already convicted him for the murder of a 7-month-old baby, but a Lackawanna County jury did not sentence Michael Blakey to the death penalty. Instead he will spend the rest of his life in prison.

31-year-old Michael Blakey was convicted for murdering little Khayr Cash.

In the penalty phase three of the baby's family members took the stand. Blakey also testified. At one point he broke down in tears as he pleaded for his life.
