STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY -- A jury could get the case against a man accused of killing State Senator James Rhoades while he was drunk behind the wheel by Monday. A prosecution expert testified Thomas Senavitis swerved into the senator's lane and nearly hit him head on. But an expert for the defense said the senator clearly swerved out of his lane while trying to avoid a van parked on the side of the road. The expert claimed the senator was five feet into Senavitis' lane. The Monroe County crash happened in Gilbert in October of 2008. | | |
