La PLUME, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Officials at Keystone College plan to begin a testing program to see if wind power could be used to reduce energy costs on campus.

The school has contracted with a firm that will do a survey on average wind speeds at various locations around the campus.

It's just one of several 'green initiatives' the school is involved in to become more energy efficient.

The tests are expected to begin this spring.

If they produce positive results the school is expected to apply for grant money to set up a number of power generating windmills on campus.
