SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

Graffiti is often associated with gang activity. That's why kids participating in a Scranton anti gang program went to work Wednesday morning to paint over graffiti sprayed beneath the Linden Street Bridge.

The effort was part of a summer camp program offered by the Scranton Police Department. It's part of the city's "Gang Resistance, Education, and Training" or 'GREAT' Program.

Some 40 seventh graders participated in the cleanup.
