KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY –

A monumental party Sunday for one Luzerne County community celebrating it's Sesquicentennial Anniversary.

The municipality of Kingston is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this weekend.

Hundreds of people lined up along the streets to watch the huge parade commemorating the event.

Organizers were thrilled with the huge turnout and show of support.

Kingston’s Mayor James Haggerty says, “It's an historic time for us. It's our 150th Anniversary, the community has come together. People are involved in the festivities. We are having a great time this weekend."

City leaders also installed a new red brick walkway in front of the municipal building as a lasting tribute into Kingston's municipal building.
