KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY -- People throughout Luzerne County are getting some help for a happy holiday.

Kingston Emergency Services organized a drive. It's to provide food and Christmas presents for more than 70 families.

Police, fire, and public works crews donated money. Plus, the fire chief says people throughout the community chipped in.

They're working with Children and Youth, Family Enhancement and families who've called in asking for help.

Kingston Fire Chief Frank Guido said, "I had to stop taking calls because it was so overwhelming. The need is great, with the economy."

Firefighters will deliver the food and toys over the next couple days.
