KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Kingston police are trying to find a hit and run driver. 25-year-old Justin Seibert of Kingston is in fair condition. He was hit by an SUV Sunday at the intersection of Pierce Street and Rutter Avenue.

Neighbors like Stan Dickerson call the intersection busy and dangerous. "It's busy, but it's traffic controlled. If everybody would just pay attention to what's going on, but that rarely happens. If you stand here long enough you'll see everybody is on the phone."

Early Sunday morning, police say an SUV flew through this block, hitting Justin Seibert along the way. It's an ugly situation at least one Pierce Street business owner knows all about.

Damin Blanchard owns Inlan Solutions, and says he's seen a car hit a bike rider outside his store. The constant traffic is good for business, but Blanchard says he wants to see his customers get here safe too.

"Go to the corner of Rutter and cross over the intersection. Because if you try to just cross the street, nobody sees you. There's two lanes parking on both sides, nobody sees you. It's two lanes, parking on both sides," he said.

Kingston police say hit and runs are always a concern for Pierce Street, which intersects with busy Wyoming Avenue one block away.

There are only a few open hit and run cases other than SeibertŐs, but the others only involve property damage.

Kingston Police say the best advice for crossing a busy intersection is just use common sense. At night, wear some light clothing, much like this red jacket and always, always use a crosswalk.

Police are looking for a blue SUV with a front-end bumper damage. If you have any information call Kingston police.
