SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Another phase of a federal government heating assistance program begins today.

Beginning today people can apply to LIHEAP's Crisis Program. Those grants are handed out to households with no heating source or with health or life-threatening emergencies.

Applications in Lackawanna County will be taken at the state office building in downtown Scranton.
