SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Preparations are underway for a major Labor Day weekend event in Lackawanna County.
Volunteers from Scranton's UNICO Chapter spent the day slicing up 4,000 pounds of porketta. All of this meat will go towards nearly 18,000 sandwiches.
They'll all be sold at this weekend's 'La Festa Italiana' celebration on Courthouse Square in Scranton. It kicks off Saturday.
La Festa is Scranton UNICO's largest fundraiser. | | |
