EXETER, LUZERNE COUNTY - Firefighters and police officers are on the scene of an explosion in Exeter.

The call came in just after 2:00 P. M. on Penn Avenue in Exeter. Neighbors in the area say their homes shook and they heard a loud explosion.

One man was taken to the hospital after his home exploded on Penn Avenue. Neighboring buildings, including a school, were damaged.
