Hazle Township -
Mall officials and police say they will come down hard on trouble makers. The fight happened at the Laurel Mall, which is at the intersection of Route 93 and the airport beltway. It got out of control. Mall managers say they are asking parents to take a stronger role in what their kids are doing at night.
The fight last Friday night took place outside the Laurel Mall between the mall and the movie complex. The fight started inside and progressed outside.
Amy Ruesing is general manager of the mall. Ruesing says they have a zero tolerance policy towards violence. They even have a code of conduct policy posted at each mall entrance. It basically tells everyone to behave or be kicked out. Mall security will keep an eye out for trouble, but she insists parents have to get more involved. And shoppers agree. Other mall managers also say they are not a baby-sitting service. Parents need to know they will not tolerate troublemakers.
