Williamsport, Lycoming County-

A new group of community leaders joined the ranks Thursday in one part of central Pennsylvania.

Leadership Lycoming held a luncheon at the Genetti Hotel for the 26 members of this year’s graduating class.

The training program motivates potential leaders to commit themselves to addressing community needs through a variety of roles.

Board Chairperson Dennis Gilbert said, “It’s just important that communities really dig deep and reach out and try to have a lot of involvement from volunteers and from leadership within the community that may not be formally designated as leaders.”

Leadership Lycoming is a ten month long program. A new class will start up again in the fall.
