WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY-It looks like there will finally be lights in parts of Downtown Wilkes-Barre.
On Thursday, Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton announced that the third phase of the street light project will begin on Monday, July 14th.
The next phase includes 116 street lights along Franklin, Washington, Northampton and Union Streets.

Many streets in the area have been without lights for more than a year.
The entire project will costs more than seven million dollars.
