COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY- A teenage swimmer died after getting struck by lightning. Two others were also hurt.

The fatal lightning strike happened at Gouldsboro State Park's beach in Monroe County around 6:00 P. M.. The victims were swimming when the lightning hit.

A 17-year old boy died and two others were taken to CMC hospital in Scranton. They are expected to survive.

Two other teens nearby were evaluated at the scene and were not injured.
