SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A line of people began to form more than an hour before Catholic Social Services opened its doors for the annual Toys for Tots sign ups in Scranton.

Agency officials say they're expecting more requests for Christmas help this year because of tough economic conditions. One woman waiting in line was waiting to sign up to receive gifts for her three step children. She said the program makes a big difference for her family because she is on a fixed income.

Registrations for the program are being accepted through Friday, November 21st. at Catholic Social Service offices at 516 Fig Street in Scranton and at 39 S. Main Street in Carbondale.

Applicants must bring a photo ID, verification of income for everyone in the household, and proof of their address with a recent date on it.
