Bloomsburg, Columbia County-

Federal help is on the way for victims of last month's devastating fire on Main Street in Bloomsburg.

The United States Small Business Administration has set up an outreach center in town. It's at the county annex building on Main Street.

Assistance is available for home and business owners, as well as tenants who rent.

SBA Communication Specialist Richard Daigle explained, "People can get help through the SBA, and the help that we provide is in the form of low-interest, long-term disaster loans. And these loans are really designed to help people get back on their feet after a disaster."

The maximum loan amount for homeowners is $200,000, for renters it’s $40,000, and business owners can borrow up to $2,000,000.

The outreach center will be open Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

You can also file a loan application online by visiting or calling 1-800-659-2955.
