Lewisburg, Union County-
A Lewisburg woman has published her first book. It’s a vampire-themed romance novel geared toward young adults.
“Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side” is about a young girl who learns she was betrothed at birth to a vampire prince. She then finds herself thrust into a thousand-year-old war between rival vampire clans.
The book is the brainchild of local author Beth Fantaskey.
And although its official release date is February 1st, the novel has already sold out online.
Fantaskey explained, “The idea for the book came about because both my kids are adopted, and of course we sometimes wonder, ‘What are their parents like, and what if their parents were really different or somehow special?’ And i kind of just took that to the extreme.”
Fantaskey has several book signings scheduled in the coming weeks.
You can catch her Friday, February 7th at Otto’s in Williamsport, or Friday, February 14th at Page After Page in Lewisburg.
