Local College Offering Free Classes to Unemployed - Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 6:25PM EST

NANTICOKE, LUZERNE COUNTY- If you are out of a job and looking to go back to school, Luzerne County Community College is now offering free credits.
The school is allowing anyone who lost their job in the last year to take up to 12-credits for free. The decision was made in order to encourage people to re-gain momentum in their lives after losing a job.

Taking up to 12 credits usually costs around $1,200. Now, all students have to pay for is small fees and books.

School counselors say the classes are filling up fast but they are still allowing students to sign up.
