There could be a fix in sight for the oil leak, and it's at the hands of two brothers from Luzerne County.

Dr. Corey Tabit and his brother, PJ spent several weeks working on a potential clogging method and submitted a proposal to BP officials. Dr. Tabit is a cardiologist in Boston, and he took the idea of clogged arteries causing a heart attack as inspiration for this project.

The Tabit brothers created a material they say can be shot down into the leaking pipe and create a clog, much like plaque creates a block in arteries. They're not releasing the secret behind the material, as they're working on a patent.

The Tabits say this is different from the failed junk shot approach. PJ says the material they're using would bind to the pipe and stay put, then debris could be placed on top to weigh it down.
